A lively stage adaptation of the Academy Award-winning 1994 Disney film, The Lion King is the story of a young lion prince living in the flourishing African Pride Lands. Perhaps the best loved animated-film Disney Theatrical adaptation, the Lion King is one of the first of the Disney animated films to sell as many if not more tickets than their film originals. More than 10 years into its Broadway run, this brightly plumed Disney musical comedy is still the destination of choice for most city visitors. Families from Omaha, Oahu, and Oman alike are treated to a production that has won almost universal critical praise for its powerful mixture of theatre traditions from around the world. The plot? A young lion learns to be a king. The use of animal costumes and gigantic hollow puppets has the audience lost in wonder as the elephants, giraffes, lions, hyenas, and birds stroll around the prairie. The Lion King's Tony and Olivier Award winning design is alone worth the purchase of tickets, but the story of a young cub struggling to grow up against tragic circumstances is really what makes the musical. The Lion King is a story of love and redemption no family should miss.

If you have to see with your children, you could make an unforgettable memory your children. Intensely physical stage work and countless visual surprises hold your attention from start to finish. Such an amazing spectacle, great family fun, something you want to sway to the beat of over and over. The creativity, the action, and the music make this the best show around. This is a musical for men and women of all ages.

All ages admitted - everyone must have a ticket. Evening performances are recommended for 6 and above. A limited number of booster seats are available at the theatre.

What's there left to say for The Lion King? People all around the world love this show and there's definitely a reason to it. I saw this show twice and it was jaw-breaking both times. The first time I saw the show, I sat in the balcony and was able to see the whole view of the stage. I got to see the show for the second time last month in the Orchestra seat and it was a whole new experience. With the animals walking right by you, you'll feel like you are part of the show. Everyone understands the story so all ages could enjoy. Do not think this is a 'kiddy-show' because it's from Disney and it's based on an animation film. This show will amaze you, no matter the age. If I have a chance to watch it again, I would definitely do and would definitely recommend this show to everyone I know!
